Marketing goals, life goals, spiritual goals, whatever they are, I want you to picture them. See yourself succeeding and reaching to the top.

Now let’s jump into this article. And as a side note, this is a totally fun piece to help inspire your marketing and remind you that YOU CAN DO IT.

Here are 5 reasons why your marketing WILL succeed:

Technology

Technology is one of the biggest reasons you will succeed in marketing and life. We live a fully digital, plugged-in and ready-to-go world. This means that answer are right at your fingertips, and we’re in control! We don’t have to wait for an answer or reach out to a special resource. Just ask the internet.

- Want to know the top performing types of images on instagram? Ask Google.

- How to optimize my landing pages? Ask Google and maybe click on the ion interactive links.

- How to improve my SEO? Ask Moz.

- Who is my dream 90s date? Check out Buzzfeed.

Technology has empowered us to know the answers and act. So get moving!

Team

Your team is your support system, like a family. They’re here to help you succeed and reach your goals. Sure there are non-team players, but remember that we succeed as a team and fail as a team.

To ensure your team is here to support your goals, you might want to consider quick team meetings or better collaboration.

At ion, our teams meet every morning for a quick stand up. We use this time to go over priorities for the day and to discuss any marketing challenges. I always have challenges around planning promotions or campaigns and I’ll depend on my team for guidance and suggestions. #Squadgoals

You’re a Content Marketer

You’re lucky to be a content marketer in 2016! A time where the internet and connected living is booming.

There are tons of people knocking down the door at your company for the same exact position. I worked with marketers for 5+ years before getting anywhere close to being on a marketing team. Bring your “A” game everyday. Because you’re damn lucky to be in the role that you’re in right now. And if you don’t, I will.

Passion

Something I’ve noticed about a lot of content marketers or just marketers in general is that they all have a passion. Some turn that into a side hustle, others might make it a hobby. Either way, the passion is there and for some it needs to be harnessed into your work. I’m guilty of not having enough passion in my endeavors, but I do have a plan to overcome this and just make things fun.

I always tie back what I’ve learned from my passion projects to my day-to-day. It’s a great way of making yourself passionate. Yeah that’s right… make yourself passionate. You’re tying an outside interest your day-to-day. It will make things more interesting because you get to see a practice take life in a new environment. Try it! I guarantee you’ll learn something new about yourself and develop as a better marketer.

You’re just plain awesome!

Yeah that’s right, you are! A part of marketing is trusting your gut. You don’t see immediate results AND, as much as the data speaks to you, it still boils down to how you feel about your campaign/project/marketing.

You’re lucky to be a marketer in today’s market in any industry. We’re seeing drastic changes and you’re a part of it, making you just as awesome as the Joe Pulizzi’s of the world. You’re a content marketing rockstar!

Now that you have all of this motivation, I want you to go out there and conquer your content marketing!
