FedEx Ships Out Interactive Experiences to Raise their Revenue 82%

FedEx is no small name in the world of business. As one of the top multinational couriers, we’ve seen them do some amazing things with their marketing. However, a “smaller” part of their business was looking to streamline some of their content and recreate their online experience into an interactive journey. And by smaller, we’re talking about their Small Business Center.

“We’ve all been to enough seminars and conventions to know that interactive is the way online communication is going… We wanted to be ahead of the game and use interactive content to make shipping easy and engaging.”

The FedEx Small Business Center team began with auditing all of their existing content and took first steps to revitalizing a seven-year-old site that would be incorporated into FedEx’s Small Business Center resource. They went on to create six different interactive experiences that provided a better user experience during the freight shipping process.

“The Freight Box experience alone has generated 136,000 visits and showed a 151% increase of Freight Box shipments over the previous six months before the page existed. The service has also seen an 86% average growth in month over month volume as well as an 82% average increase in month over month revenue. That’s a lot of freight!”

Since then, the FedEx Small Business Center has gone on to win awards for their content marketing, and we can’t wait to see what’s next in their path with interactive content.
